Oh Shakespeare!

Why art thou so confusing?

You write in a language I don't understand.

I read your plays with a translator in hand,
Is it a code? A puzzle? A secret spell?
What is it you're trying to say? Please tell!
I must read your work in English class,
But if I don't get it, how can I pass?
This unit is very complicated,
The words you use are simply outdated.
Was this your main intention?
To cause such incomprehension?
Well if so, your plan was a success.
After learning this unit, my brain's a mess.
But have no fear, I'm able to recover.
At least 'till next year when I discover,
Another one of your plays I must analyze.
But maybe, just maybe, by some surprise,
In time, that I will grow to like thee,
I will just have to wait and see.
You know, a lot can happen in one year
But for now, goodbye Shakespeare!

A Child's Rain

Up above all the clouds, the sea,
Is leaking crystal drops on me.
The clouds are getting rather thick.
They must repair the holes real quick.
The ground is getting very wet,
If it gets a cold I'll call the vet.
The trees are catching lots of rain,
I hope it's not causing them any pain.
I bet the flowers are fine and dandy,
For them the rain is pretty handy.
People run into whatever is near,
But it's just rain, what's to fear?
I enjoy all these rainy days.
Rain is good, I hope it stays.
If it does, and never stops,
We'll make some boats with pointy tops.
Oh boy, I hope that it doesn't hail.
Well, that's just a whole other tale!

A Poem

You sparkle even brighter than the sun,
I just know deep down that you are the one.

I feel that we belong together,
Our relationship will last forever.

You loved me ever since the beginging.
Now you have got me spinning, with joy.

You are protecting and forgiving,
You make this life I've got worth living.

I know I can tell you anything,
Yet you already know everything.

You're the Light of the world, and I'm happy to see.
And I am so glad that God, you love me, for me.

What If?

What if dreams were only meant for dreaming, would that make you stop?

What if struggles were mountains, would you persevere to reach the top?

What if friends were actually flowers, would you have a bouquet?

What if this world ended tomorrow, what would you do today?

What if the sky really was the limit, would you learn how to fly?

What if life only lasted a minute, would you let it pass you by?

What if inner beauty showed, just how pretty would you be?

What if Heaven had a door, in the end would you have the key?

What If ... ?

Mean

Stand up, and be proud.
Don't let anybody put you down.

They may seem big, they may be mean,
But in the end that's all they're gonna be.

Don't let them tear you apart,
Don't take their lies to heart.

You know what they say isn't true,
Be strong and show them the real you.

You're so much better than all of them,
They're the ones with the problem.

Let your inner beauty shine,
Things will get better over time.

Words can hurt more than sticks and stones,
A heart can break just the same as bones.

Next time you're hit or teased.
Remember Him, and just believe.

The opposite of faith is fear,
Stick with God, he's always near.

Christmas is 'round the corner,

Christmas is almost here,

Christmas is very close,

Christmas is oh, so near.

Christmas brings many smiles,

Christmas brings lots of lights,

Christmas brings people together,

Christmas brings snowy nights.

Christmas began with an answer,

Christmas began with a sacrifice,

Christmas began with Jesus,

Christmas began with Christ.
