book blurb

Me, Just Different, Out With The In Crowd, and So Over It are the three books in the reinvention of Skylar Hoyt series by Stephanie Morrill. I won the first book in a giveaway. It took me a while to actually pick it up and read it, but once I did, I really liked it. So I went out and got the second, and then the third! So here's a mini informal review on the series. To put it in one sentence, the series is about a popular teenaged party girl who realizes that changing her life around is harder than it seems.

The first thing I like about this book is that it's Christian! The main character, Skylar, goes through your average spiritual battles about 'drifting away' from God and trying to figure out what He wants her to do. I was really able to relate to Skylar. She goes through family issues, guy problems, and other things that people experience sometime in their life. The book is just an overall enjoyable read. It has a little bit of mystery, some romance, and the storyline is easy to follow

That's all I have to say. So if you're looking for a fun summer read, I recommend this book! Thanks for reading. If you've read the series or one of these books, I'd love to hear what you thought of it! What good books have you been reading lately?

  1. I read some reviews and the ‘previews’ to those books. They looked so interesting! I ALMOST got them. =)

  2. I've never read a book in this series, but thanks for the review! :)

One book I finished lately that I thought was really good was Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore. It's the sequel/companion to Graceling.

  4. Exactly. He has been teaching my through my Grandma. Not something that I look forward to learning on my trip, but His timing is always best. And I'd rather learn these lessons sooner than later so I can put them into practice while I am young. :)

Thanks for the comments, by the way! I always love getting them from you. You have such an encouraging soul. :D

I've been reading Lord of The Rings lately and have found it to be more enjoyable than the first time I read it. And "Me, Just Different" was a good read. I don't remember how it all goes...I read too many books at one time so they all start running into each other (lol!)...but it was great!

    Blessings,
