What Matters

I love my laptop, my camera, my bedroom, my books, my crafts I've made, my clothes and so many other things I've been blessed with. I use these things everyday and they make me happy. But something I know I have to keep on reminding myself is that they're just things. Yes, they add fun and entertainment to my life, but they shouldn't be what my life is all about.
"All we care so much about the way we look
And the way we talk, and the way we act
And the clothes we bought, how much that cost?
Does it even really matter?"

~B.o.B.-Both of Us
As lovely as things may be, they are more important things that our attention should be directed to. Like our family, friends and other loved ones. And, most importantly, God.

Let's use this wonderful life we have to reach out to others. To make a difference in this world. To be courageous and bold and radiate love. To live a life that will make God proud. Because all these gadgets and toys and 'stuff' are fun, but in the end, what really matters is how we lived our life, not the things we had in it.

"30 years from now, it won't matter what jeans you wore, how popular you were, what your hair looked like, or what sneakers you wore." ~ Unknown

Great post! I suffer the fact of being on my iPod touch too much. Is should try and live my life for God more instead of being on it.
