We've all been there. You crush on him, and he doesn't even know you exist. As much as you seem to make yourself noticable, he acts as if you were invisible. Then, after awhile, you mature and move on. You realize he wasn't worth all the fuss, and forget about him after a month.
Though have you ever thought about it the other way around? That there is someone out there who likes you? Well guess what? There is! There is someone out there who loves you! Who cares for you! That someone is up in heaven, and has been watching out for you ever since you step foot on this planet.
God is waiting. He is waiting for you to realize that you don't need to go searching for a lover. He is waiting for you to come to Him when you are ready. He will wait. He will wait because you are just that special to Him. The moment you give your heart to Him, He will love you forever. Isn't that the kind of relationship you want?
I'm not saying that you have to become a nun and never marry. God will bring the right guy into your life. So don't waste your time searching for him. Live your life! Because if you spend your time sitting in a tower, you'll miss out on some really great adventures! And who knows, maybe the guy for you is right around the corner!
cute post, shelley! and so true! hehe, right now im ob-sessed with the song "haven't met you yet" by michael buble :)

great post!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I was drinking a glass of water and I saw your post titled "Prince Charming" and I nearly choked on my water when I saw that picture of the frog! Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I wanted to be a nun when I was small. Don't laugh. At seven (or eight or ten), the idea of serving God and worshiping Him all day really appealed to me.Of course I can still do that (and SHOULD do that), but I always thought that the monastic life seemed very peaceful.
Wonderful post, Shelley! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Frog Prince!! Shelley, you are absolutely cute and I grin just to be reading you. :D God is ever so pleased that He made you! I am certain! Stay as sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteVERY NICE... though, I find the whole tower thing pretty romantic. ;)
ReplyDeleteI added your button to my blog! :)
Love,
Bleah
love your way of putting things. Love your heart....your passion....
ReplyDeleteGreat thoughts! Thanks for sharing. :) I always wanted to be so busy doing things for God that it was a treat to finally meet my husband, rather then wasting my time waiting for him. :)
ReplyDeleteLove in Christ,
Rebecca
Exactly right friend! Thank you for posting this. We serve an incredible God! Although it is hard to give all of everything, including the future into His Hands - you hit the problem on the head. There are so many amazing things God is doing now! Keep it up! You are loved!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Shelley! And thanks for commenting on my blog. Recently I read the book "Preparing to be a Help Meet" and I loved these quotes...
ReplyDelete"Don't try to find Mr. Right. Learn to be Miss Right, and the one who finds you will be Mr. Right." and "...God will make sure Mr. Right finds you."
Blessings!

Awesome post, Shelley! :)

Hey I just found your blog; its amazing. I LOVE IT!!! especially your playlist ;) It's one of the few blogs out there that the blogger clearly loves God but still is cool and not all "vintage and old-fashion" (no offense if you like that stuff lol) Most blogs that are Christian go over to the extreme of wearing skirts and classical music (NOT that there's anything wrong with that). Anyway, all that to say, YOUVE GOT A NEW FOLLOWER!!! :)
